◙ I had a wonderful time at Literary Orange on Saturday where I was on a Sudden Fiction Latino panel with Lisa Alvarez, moderated by Andrew Tonkovich (host of KPFK’s wonderful book show, Bibliocracy). Many thanks to the planners, the audience, and poor Andrew who was fighting a bad cold.

◙ Professor Xánath Caraza de Holland (who teaches Spanish II and Intermediate Conversation and Composition II at the University of Missouri-Kansas City) has a poem entitled "Anillos de piedra" published in February, celebrating Totonac culture and the City of Zempoala, in Revista Zona de Ocío. It’s in issue no. 9, pages 26-27.

◙ Álvaro Huerta has an essay honoring public school teachers in yesterday's Los Angeles Daily News.

◙ If you missed any of my readings for my new novel, The Book of Want, you may purchase inscribed copies (in person or via online order) at Vroman’s or Kepler’s. Also, for my future appearances, visit here for details.

◙ That’s all for this Monday. In the meantime, enjoy the intervening posts from mis compadres y comadres here on La Bloga. And remember: ¡Lea un libro!
